Andrea Duncan – Phone Photography Talk
Chard Camera Club welcomed photographer Andrea Duncan on Thursday 25th June for an inspiring look at the creative potential of smartphone photography. Andrea highlighted how composition, light and intention remain just as important on a phone as with any camera, and encouraged members to explore subjects from multiple viewpoints to reveal fresh possibilities. She also spoke about the value of working with a consistent theme to build stronger visual stories.
A highlight of the evening was Andrea’s insight into the “Noticing the Now” project, where slowing down and paying attention to everyday moments became a creative practice in itself.
Members then took part in a short practical session, with Andrea offering thoughtful, individual advice that many found especially helpful.
Our thanks go to John Flanagan for recommending Andrea as a speaker — an excellent suggestion that made for a rewarding and enjoyable evening.
